With a RemoteMix Paid plan, you have control of your audio mixer's base EQ, compression, and gating sections. Control of emulations are not included.

While other popular makes and models will follow, RemoteMix Channel Processing is currently compatible with the following mixers only. Each mixer is unique in certain aspects, but the visuals in this article are from a Behringer Wing on a Stream Dedicated Mixer (All Access) connection.

  • Behringer X32

  • Behringer Wing

  • Allen & Heath SQ

  • PreSonus StudioLive 3

  • Soundcraft Si Performer

Note: Mixers vary in their adjustable processing tools. You might see parameters with different names that serve the same purpose, or you may find additional parameters available for adjustment.

Navigating the Channel Processing Views

Entering your RemoteMix dashboard defaults to the Mixer view, where you will have a bird's eye display of your channels and whether or not processing is applied.

Clicking to enter the Processing view directs you to the first channel of your mixer where you will see an overall display of the processing for that channel. Simply click on a different channel to display its processing.

Turn a channel's processing ON or OFF directly from the Processing view. Click to the right of the ON button or on Gate/EQ/Comp in the channel strip to open the tool-specific view. Expand to the tool-specific view to use all adjustable parameters.

Making Adjustments with Channel Processing

There are different ways to use the channel processing interface for shaping your sound, it just depends on your preferences.

Click on and drag a parameter within the graphical interface to move it freely. In the EQ, for example, drag left or right across the frequency spectrum, and drag up or down to boost or cut the desired frequency.

Click on and drag parameter sliders. In the compressor view, for example, click on and drag the slider left to lower the threshold and set when the compressor starts working. Notice the gain reduction meter left of the controllable parameters.

To quickly change a parameter, click on and type the desired value, and then hit Enter on your keyboard.

Real Time Analyzer Settings

You'll notice the Real Time Analyzer (RTA) when in the EQ section. Click on the RTA button to customize how the RTA in RemoteMix behaves, mainly its visual appearance.

FAQs

Why does RemoteMix display "The RTA does not match the channel you are EQing" message with my Behringer Wing connection?

This occurs because you have selected a channel in RemoteMix that isn't the same channel as selected on the physical mixer. For example, the message will occur if Channel 1 is selected at the mixer but any other channel is selected in RemoteMix. Lock the console first to properly use the RTA in RemoteMix.
