RemoteMix compatibility is constantly evolving. We'll update this list as we add support for more devices. For now, here's what you need to connect with RemoteMix.
Compatible Encoder or RemoteMix Software Agent
You can connect your RemoteMix account with your mixer with a BoxCast Spark, or you can download our Software Agent onto a compatible computer on the same network.
You must download the Software Agent onto a computer (PC or Mac), but once that's set up, you can do your actual mixing on a computer or tablet, like an iPad. We don't recommend using RemoteMix on your phone, just because the screen is too small to really get the functionality you need.
If you're using the software agent, you'll also need to make sure that your computer has a way to input audio, and ideally video. The audio capture is vital, and the video capture is a nice-to-have so you can take advantage of the low latency video preview while you're mixing.
Some examples of an audio input advice include this XLR-to-USB adapter interface. For video, you could use something like this video capture card.
Compatible Browser
For the best RemoteMix experience, we recommend using Google Chrome. Other browsers may not work as expected.
Subscription Requirements
Currently, RemoteMix is only available to those with a BoxCast streaming plan, but we plan to make it accessible to non-BoxCast customers soon. Join our waitlist for quickest access.
